Marianne de Best teaches Dutch as a Second Language at an international school in The Hague, The Netherlands. She teaches through Comprehensible Input and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling).

 

Her keywords when describing the optimal language acquisition process are a good relationship with her students and having fun in the classroom. Apart from that, she has a passion for drama, so her lessons are always full of spotlights, emotions and drum rolls!

Marianne's stories originate in the class stories she makes up and performs with her students. Marianne builds on these short stories, using events and characters from other class stories and with these ingredients creates cute, daredevil easy readers that are appealing to elementary students of all ages.
