Titia Bouma

For many years, Titia was a passionate teacher of Russian and coördinator of the Russian Studies department at Leiden University (The Netherlands). She also teaches Dutch as a Second Language, using stories and conversations, and has her students read comprehensible easy readers. And now, she writes short stories and novels for (young) adults who are learning Dutch.
Titia's interest in the Russian language and culture is reflected in her sense of drama. In her stories, there is always something dramatic going on, something that overturns the life and loves of her characters!
